Lakadong Haldi (Turmeric) is a variety of turmeric grown in the North-Eastern state of Meghalaya. This turmeric is found to have the highest percentage of curcumin. The impressive anti-inflammatory and healing health benefits of turmeric are due to the presence of a naturally-occurring chemical compound found in turmeric called curcumin. Therefore, Lakadong Haldi offers better health benefits as compared to regular turmeric.
